Jane is a firm believer in the power of international experiences to expand the mind, teach valuable life lessons, and gain an understanding of what makes our world spectacular.  A native Coloradan, Jane’s appreciation for nature began at a young age. Summers were spent in Telluride, and she and her family would picnic in Rocky Mountain National Park.  However, she didn’t fully understand the wonder of the world until her first international experience.  As a freshman in college, she spent her first time abroad trekking through Peru and Bolivia with classmates and professors. It was standing upon Huayna Picchu (the peak that overlooks Macchu Picchu) that deep gratitude, immense wonder, and insurmountable awe began to ignite a passion for the world that has burned strongly ever since.  Since then, she has spent significant time living, studying, and playing in 16 different countries on five continents, and through each experience Jane became more certain that her true calling is to bring this passion for the world to as many young people as possible. This calling is precisely what brought her to No Barriers Youth, formally Global Explorers.

Jane received a degree in International Economics and Finance from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.  It is this fine institution (which encourages every student to travel internationally) that she credits with affording her the opportunity to see the world — which has translated into a lifestyle of adventure.  Go ‘Roos!

When not working or traveling, Jane enjoys Panamanian coffee, yoga, reading a good book under a sunny sky and big oak tree, cooking eclectic meals, listening to live music, spending time with her family, and napping in a hammock.
